My husband John grew up in Copake and he was wondering about the local dairies if, Landon still has his farm. And if some of the farms that were there in the 50's are still there.

The Roe Jan Historical Society is planning an exhibit on the dairy farms of the area. It will include Pictures of the original Langdonhust farm from about 1885 when it was owned by Aaron Snyder. When Aaron’s grandson took over in 1908 it was named Langdonhurst Farm. It is still owned by Arson’s great-great grandson, John Langdon. Pictures will include the work force of the 1930’s. It includes the three Dunze brothers Charlie Peck, Walter Jensen, A.D. Langdon and others Other farms and events will be included in the exhibit including the historic development of bulk handling of milk that started in 1947.
